1. Beyoglu

1431 3rd Ave, Upper East Side – When I first moved to New York I lived just around the corner and stopped by on a chance. Now whenever I’m in the area I make sure to stop by, especially if I can sit at one of the outdoor tables.

2. The Meatball Shop

Multiple Locations – This is exactly how it sounds, choose your meatballs, sides, and you can’t go wrong.

3. Five Leaves

18 Bedford Ave, Greenpoint, Brooklyn – Get here early for brunch. It’s worth the wait.

4. Westville

Multiple Locations – My go-to restaurant for when friends visit. Get their Market plate, a huge plate filled with just their amazing sides.

5. Kashkaval Garden

852 Ninth Ave, Hell’s Kitchen – Another place to get to early. Have a glass of wine or two and order a plate to share.

6. Swine

531 Hudson St, Greenwich Village – How can you really go wrong with happy hour and a bacon filled menu?

7. Baby Bo’s Cantina

627 2nd Ave, Murray Hill – Mexican food and Margaritas.

8. Max’s

181 Duane Street, Tribeca – A quiet Italian spot in Tribeca.

9. The Smith

Multiple Locations – For when you just need some comfort food. I recommend the Mac & Cheese or the Pot Pie.

10. Luke’s Lobster

Multiple Locations – If lobster is your thing, stop by one of their restaurants or look out for one of their food trucks across the city.
