Welcome to the 2017 Travel Lovers Gift Guide. My collection of ten can’t go wrong gifts for the traveler in your life.
You can never really have too many of these. I like to use mini ones so I can start a new one for each big trip. I love looking back at these years later and reading what was going through my mind at that time. It often reminds me of things I had wanted to do and needed to be reminded of!
They seem so basic but I always seem to need new socks when I’m traveling. No show socks for canvas sneakers, lightweight wool socks for hiking or heavier ones for when I’m hiking in the cold. SmartWool are my favorite brand to buy.
A COIN PURSE
When I travel I always carry cash and end up with lots of local coin currency. I like to carry a coin wallet that has credit card slots inside so I can collect coins, cash and cards in one easy pouch.
I hate throwing loose items into my bag and backpack all the time. I use zippered pouches to organize everything. One for my electronics cords and chargers, one for beauty products, one for medicines and anything else you can think of. This way I’m never rummaging through my bag. They can also double as clutches in a pinch.
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE
Even when the water isn’t drinkable I still like to carry a reusable water bottle. You can buy a large several gallon jug of water to keep in your hotel room and refill your bottle from it so you’re not buying lots of small plastic bottles.
TRAVEL SIZE BEAUTY PRODUCTS
If you know your recipient’s favorite brand, look for that brand’s complete travel/trial sets. Otherwise I like to head to the mini sample/travel size section of Sephora and pick up a few things to make a custom mini gift set.
EXTRA PHONE CHARGER
I am always looking for these to use with my wall charger or with my portable charger. It’s another thing you can really never have too many of.
BASIC TIMEX WATCH
At home I usually use my iPhone but when I’m traveling I find I like having a traditional watch so I’m not always pulling out my cell phone. Timex makes great watches that aren’t too pricey and are still stylish.
NYLON REUSABLE BAG
Much lighter than a regular tote bag I like to carry these in case I end up souvenir shopping so I don’t collect extra plastic bags. They’re also great to have in case you need an extra carry on bag when you’ve bought too much or if you need a bag to carry extra items with you that you don’t need in your purse like towels for the beach or extra layers on a tour.
FACE SHEET MASKS
Travel is rough on the skin. Changing planes, climates and hotels all have major effects. Having a few face masks on a trip are a little luxury that are easy to pack and great quick pick me up for your skin after a long day.
